In my experience when going to casting calls, I always looked my best and always ON TIME very important. Where I was working as a runway instructor/model our casting calls was come in your best look not always necessarily jeans and a tank, however come in whatever you are comfortable walking in showing your figure. Always enter into casting calls with little make up or no make up (the model should look as natural as she can) and bring high heels ones that can you can walk in like walking in tennis shoes, basically your most comfortable heels. Never should it look like you heels hurt when walking.
The thing I looked for as an instructor was: #1. thing, posture this was most important to me. Posture speaks about who you through body language. How you feel and carry yourself determines your whole body stride and strut down the runway, the way the model sways, if the model has self confidence and self esteem. Everything else falls behind posture, your attitude, behavior, poise, stamina also how you treat and respect other models that are at the casting calls because every model has their own unique style of walk and style of looks.
Note: Have your confidence and self esteem built up behind your posture weather you are a size 6 and under model or a plus size model.
